"2010: Odyssey Two" by Arthur C. Clarke

Did I like this book? Did I not like this book? I'm not sure. I certainly enjoyed the exploration of space. However, I'm unsure if this blatant (and kind of unnecessary?) setup of alien life in the Solar system was necessary.

At this point, I look at the reviews for the third and fourth books in the series, and I don't feel like continuing, yet I do want to learn what happens next. It's one of these compelling cliffhangers, an art in itself.

The new odyssey follows the previous one, encounters unexpected things, and raises more questions than answers. So far, I wasn't bored by the author's "overexplanation" (which might be the main criticism of the next books), so I'll give it a try!
